GMAT - Graduate Management Admission Test
MBA abroad (Course duration – 140 hrs)

The test is a standardized assessment—delivered in English—that helps business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Schools use the test as one predictor of academic performance in an MBA program or in other graduate management programs.

This exam measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that you have developed over a long period of time in your education.
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) consists of two multiple-choice sections (Quantitative and Verbal) and an essay section called the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA).

Verbal Section:
41 questions
75 minutes
Reading Comprehension (approx. 14 Questions)
Sentence Correction (approx. 13 Questions)
Critical Reasoning (approx. 14 Questions

Essay Questions (Analytical Writing Assessment):

The GMAT CAT begins with the two AWA questions. For each of these sections, you have thirty minutes to type an essay into the computer using a simple word-processing program. The essay sections are administered first, but the Quantitative and Verbal multiple-choice sections can appear in any order. If you want to practice these essays, we have 10 timed practice GMAT essay questions that you can send in for grading.

The GMAT primarily tests four skills:

  1. Endurance and ability to focus
You'll have to stare at a screen intensely and focus for nearly four hours. Keep this in mind when taking practice tests. Get used to working for many hours on end. Learn how to relax. The physical and mental exhaustion is part of the test's challenge. That's why we offer GMAT CAT practice tests. You should take as many practice CATs as possible to learn the test and to get used to the grueling experience.

  2. Basic knowledge of grammar, math, reasoning, and argument formation
The second skill, a basic knowledge of grammar, math, reasoning, and argument formation, is covered in the later chapters of this online prep guide. No calculators are allowed on test day, so you need to practice doing basic math calculations
  3. Test-taking skills: ability to guess, work at an appropriate pace, and make decisions under pressure
These skills are covered in this chapter and throughout the online guide. Timing is a major part of test-taking skill, particularly for the GMAT CAT. Our patent-pending Test Pacer system will teach you the pacing interactively.
Problem-solving abilities

To improve your problem-solving abilities, the fourth skill, we have extensive information on reasoning techniques and math concepts throughout this online guide. When you get a question wrong, make sure to review our explanations so that you understand the conceptual error that you made in the question. You do not want to repeat the error.

SAT - SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST
Under Graduation abroad (Course duration - 140)

The SAT is the nation's most widely used admissions test among colleges and universities. It tests students' knowledge of subjects that are necessary for college success: reading, writing, and mathematics. The SAT assesses the critical thinking skills students need for academic success in college—skills that students learned in high school.
The SAT is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors. It tells students how well they use the skills and knowledge they have attained in and outside of the classroom—including how they think, solve problems, and communicate. The SAT is an important resource for colleges. It's also one of the best predictors of how well students will do in college.

MODULES THAT ARE TESTED:

  • Writing Section
  • Critical Reading Section
  • Mathematics Section

BASIS OF SCORE:

The SAT has three scores, each on the scale of 200-800. Your score includes writing (W 200-800), mathematics (M 200-800), and critical reading (CR 200-800). Two subscores are given for the writing section: a multiple-choice subscore on a scale of 20-80, and an essay subscore on a scale of 2-12.
The essay question will ask you to develop a point of view on an issue and support it with examples from your studies and experience. You can answer the question successfully in many different ways.

TEST ORDER:

The SAT is comprised of 10 total testing sections. The first section is always a 25-minute essay, and the last section is always a 10-minute multiple-choice writing section. Sections two through seven are 25-minute sections. Sections eight and nine are 20-minute sections. Test-takers sitting next to each other in the same session may have test books with entirely different content orders for sections two through nine (mathematics, critical reading, and writing).

The total testing time for the SAT is 3 hours and 45 minutes—not including breaks, check-in time, and pre-administration activities. The total time you should plan on being at the test center is approximately five hours.
